28-year-old Motorcyclist Killed in Crash With Tractor-trailer on I-85 in Greenville County

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has identified the motorcyclist who died after colliding with the back of a tractor-trailer on I-85 in Greenville County on Saturday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that around 11:15 p.m., a 2009 Yamaha motorbike travelling north on I-85 collided with the back of a 2026 International tractor-trailer near mile marker 44.

The coroner stated that the motorcycle lost control before colliding with the tractor-trailer.

Troopers said the rider died at the site.

Troopers said that the tractor-trailer driver was not wounded.

The coroner identified the victim as Aleksandr Zhilevich, a 28-year-old from Boiling Springs.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office are still investigating.
