A bicyclist was pronounced dead after colliding with a tractor-trailer on Sunday afternoon.
The Kansas City Police Department was summoned to the vicinity of St. John and N. Topping around 12:49 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, after receiving a complaint of an injury accident.
When officials arrived, they discovered that a bike was riding southbound on Topping against the one-way street and collided with the side of an eastbound tractor-trailer. The bicyclist was pronounced deceased on the scene.
This is the 29th fatality, compared to 46 at this time last year.
