Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Multi-vehicle Crash at Busy Salt Lake City Intersection

A busy junction in downtown Salt Lake City was shut down after a motorbike was critically hurt in a collision with two other cars.

A truck collided with a motorbike and a car around 300 West and 600 South around 8 a.m. on Wednesday.

The Salt Lake City Police Department stated a motorbike and a car were travelling south when they were hit by an eastbound truck. In bad condition, the biker was taken to a nearby hospital.

Police have not disclosed information about the drivers involved in the crash, but they have stated that they are helping with the investigation.

According to officials, traffic in the vicinity is considerably hampered as cops investigate the event.

“We are now closing the intersection completely because to the severity of the incident, the debris field, the preservation of evidence, and the need for police to investigate safely. Police said traffic is being rerouted one block in each direction.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use an alternative route. Officials anticipate that the closure will take several hours.
