2 Detained, 1 Hospitalized After Suburban Chase Ends in Detroit Collision

While you were sleeping, another police chase culminated in a wreck in Detroit, causing many injuries. This is the second occasion this week that a chase began outside the city but ended in a wreck within city borders, the first occurring in Warren. Following the chase and crash, one person was hospitalized, and two were detained.

The chase started in Beverly Hills around 13 Mile and Southfield and finished at West McNichols and James Couzens on Detroit’s west side.

McNichols over The Lodge was closed following the incident, while investigators worked to reconstruct the crash.

According to cops on the scene, the pursuit began in Beverly Hills, roughly eight miles from where it ended in Detroit.

Police stated that those involved in the incident were injured, but the nature of the injuries and the number of people affected are unknown at this time.

Police have not stated what prompted the pursuit. Authorities have closed this location since around 1 a.m.; there is no news on when traffic will resume at this juncture.
