6 Injured When Car Crashes Into Crowd After Soccer Match at SoFI Stadium

A automobile crashed into a throng near SoFi Stadium south of Los Angeles, injuring at least six people, according to local media.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department verified that six people were injured after being hit by a vehicle as they left the stadium in Inglewood, California, according to local news sites KTLA5 and ABC 7 Eyewitness News.

The incident occurred at 10:23 p.m. local time, and the six victims were taken to the hospital with minor injuries around 11 p.m., according to KTLA5.

According to ABC 7, the disaster occurred while the audience was exiting the CONCACAF Gold Cup, a soccer competition conducted at the stadium. It was deemed a mass fatality catastrophe. The cause of the crash remains unknown.

The crowd was exiting a match between Mexico and the Dominican Republic at the stadium.

Officials are investigating the crash.
