A collision in Marysville on Saturday killed three individuals and injured three others, according to authorities.
According to the Marysville Police Department, two automobiles collided head-on on Highway 70 near 24th Street around 2:45 p.m., closing the road in both directions for several hours.
According to police, one vehicle had five persons in it, while the other had only the driver.
Police stated that three people died. Three people were brought to the hospital with serious injuries, including one who was flown, according to police.
One of the passengers brought to the hospital is a youngster, according to authorities.
It’s unclear what caused the crash, although authorities claimed speed is a factor.
The Marysville Police Department is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office.
The victims’ identities have not been revealed at this time.
