A private ambulance plowed into a CTA bus in the South Loop on Tuesday morning, injuring seven people, according to Chicago police.
The ambulance was traveling south in the 1100 block of South Michigan Avenue just before 10:15 a.m. when it collided with the rear of a No. 3 bus, according to police.
Two men aboard the bus, ages 23 and 25, as well as one 23-year-old woman, were brought to Rush Hospital; two other men, aged 73 and 32, were transferred to Stroger Hospital; and two more were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to police.
Everyone got minor injuries. According to police, those who were harmed were in decent condition.
The ambulance driver was cited, according to authorities.
Six patients refused care, according to officials.
According to officials, there were no patients in the ambulance when it crashed.
