Pedestrian Hit and Killed in Northeast D.C.; Crash Under Investigation

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, a woman died after being struck by a vehicle in northeast D.C. on Monday night.

Officers responded to the intersection of Bladensburg Road and New York Avenue at 9:34 p.m. for a pedestrian accident. They discovered a woman who was unconscious and had stopped breathing.

When DC Fire and EMS arrived, MPD reported she had life-threatening injuries. First responders made life-saving attempts, but the woman died.

MPD’s Major Crash Unit is conducting an investigation.
