A 9-year-old boy with autism who had gone missing from Opa-locka was discovered dead in a canal on Wednesday, authorities confirmed.
On Tuesday, police issued a plea for information about Anthony Brown’s whereabouts.
They claimed Anthony, also known as “King,” was autistic and nonverbal.
He was last seen walking southbound on Northwest 32nd Avenue from 129th Street around 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
Brown was recovered from a canal near Northwest 28th Avenue and 132nd Street.
While police say no foul play is suspected, the investigation into Brown’s death is still active and ongoing.
