Plainville Woman in Critical Condition After Crashing Into Traffic Signal on Berlin Turnpike

According to the Newington police department, a woman from Plainville is in critical condition after she was involved in a collision with a traffic control signal stanchion on Wednesday evening.

It was approximately 5:06 p.m. when the crash involving a single vehicle took place in the vicinity of 2800 Berlin Turnpike.

It was reported by the police that a 30-year-old individual was still in critical condition as of Thursday morning.

During the investigation, Berlin Turnpike was prohibited from traffic in both directions; however, it has since been reopened.
