The 27-year-old was arrested in Alabama on April 5 and charged with indecent exposure and disrupting government operations, according to Elmore County Sheriff’s Department records obtained by E! News. Both are minor crimes.
Grace allegedly exposed her breasts and lower body near a busy intersection of Interstate 65 and Highway 14 in Millbrook, Alabama, according to criminal records obtained by AL.com. Grace refused to identify herself when cops sought to arrest her, instead sitting on the side of the road and refusing to comply. Her first court date is scheduled for April 11.
Grace does not have a lawyer on file that E! News could call to comment on her behalf.
She is Wynonna’s second child with ex-husband Arch Kelley III, following their son Elijah Judd, 29. The pair married for two years and divorced in 1998.
Grace, who has a small daughter, has had multiple run-ins with the law, including a 2018 sentence of eight years in prison for breaching probation, according to Us Weekly and Entertainment Tonight.
Wynonna has rarely spoken about her daughter’s legal problems, despite her admiration for Grace’s strength.
“I’ll tell you this. “My daughter is the strongest Judd woman in our ‘herstory,'” she stated on The Pursuit! with John Rich in February 2020. “She is healthier than I was at 23. How she got there—I wouldn’t follow that route, but I was also confined. I was on the bus with my mother. It’s hard to get into trouble. That could have been me, John, if I hadn’t had music.”
In 2019, the country star also collaborated with White House officials on a new criminal justice reform project, according to Politico. The Judds singer stated to a Las Vegas news station at the time, “Now I have a personal investment.”
