Former HGTV host Charles ‘Todd’ Hill receives four-year jail term

Former HGTV star Charles “Todd” Hill received a four-year jail term for his involvement in multiple multi-million dollar fraud schemes.

IMDB reports that the Los Gatos, California-born 58-year-old television personality starred in 13 episodes of “Flip It to Win It,” which debuted on the network in 2014. Following Hill and his business partner, as they bought and fixed up dilapidated homes in order to sell them for a profit, was the basic idea behind the show.

Rather, the County of Santa Clara’s deputy district attorney said in a statement, “Hill spent millions on overbudget remodels, laundered profits, and pocketed millions in fraudulently obtained money.”

As to the release, Hill was given a four-year jail term on April 22 for his financial fraud and real estate activities. In addition, he was mandated to pay the 11 victims he had deceived about $10 million back.

District Attorney Jeff Rosen noted that some view the enormous wealth in Silicon Valley real estate as a commercial opportunity. We will hold those who, regrettably, view it as a criminal opportunity very accountable.

November 2019 saw Hill charged with several fraud counts after an investigation. On September 27, 2023, the release said, he was found guilty by plea of grand theft against all victims and confessed to the aggravating white-collar enhancements.
