Argyle pair face drug charges after traffic stop

Two Argyle residents are facing drug charges after a traffic stop.

State Police stopped a vehicle on Fort Edward Road in Moreau for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as 47-year-old Shemariah S. Carlisle and the passenger is 53-year-old Chistopher M. Foster.

Troopers found multiple glass smoking devices in the vehicle, police said. A bag just outside the felony contained felony-weight narcotics packaged in a manner for sale, according to police. They are accused of throwing the bag from the vehicle.

Carlisle and Foster, who are both from Argyle, are charged with four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence. Foster also faces traffic violation.

Both were arrested and transported to SP Wilton for processing. Both were arraigned at the Moreau Town Court.  Carlisle was released on her own recognizance, and Foster was sent to Saratoga County Jail without bail.
