Five people displaced from structure fire in Mechanicville

Five people are displaced after flames tore through the building early Saturday morning in Mechanicville.

The call first coming in just after 8:45 a.m. for a fire near the intersection of Saratoga Avenue and Farrell Street.

The fire did spread to the building next door and melted the siding.

Several crews responded to the scene and it took firefighters about 30 minutes to get it under control.
