Pittsfield Police arrest 19-year-old following hit-and-run incident

Pittsfield Police arrested a 19-year-old after a hit-and-run that happened on Friday afternoon.

According to The Berkshire Eagle, it happened at the intersection of Tyler and Pine Streets.

Officers say a 50-year-old man was in the crosswalk when he was hit by a car turning onto Tyler Street.

Police say the victim was thrown over the car, but his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

The 19-year-old driver was found later that night. Charges are pending.
