On Wednesday, a man from Schenectady County was found guilty of possessing child pornography and given a sentence of more than two years in prison.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Timothy Mitch Duell, 48, had previously entered a guilty plea to possessing sexually explicit pictures of a child younger than twelve. Additionally, he took involved in internet chats where he expressed desire in having sex with that child.
Duell was sentenced to 10 months of post-release supervision and 30 months in jail. Additionally, upon his release from prison, he will have to register as a sex offender.
