It is alleged that a man from Tennessee went to Clifton Park in order to engage in sexual relations with a juvenile.

In September, Donald Jenkins, 37, of Clarksville, reportedly began corresponding with someone in order to plot and discuss sexually abusing an 11-year-old. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Jenkins then rented a car to travel to the Capital Region and meet at a predetermined spot.

Prosecutors claim that Jenkins brought multiple pairs of children’s underwear as a present and had already taken a sexually transmitted illness test.

On Nov. 19, he arrived at the scene and was taken into custody.
