incident investigators are blaming a portable heating device for a tragic incident that occurred in Waterford early on Wednesday morning.
Around 3:45 a.m., a fire broke out in a building at 54 Broad St. in Waterford, resulting in one fatality and six hospitalized individuals. Above Bill’s Card Shaq were two flats.
The second-story apartment’s back bedroom was where the fire began. The Office of Fire Prevention and Control said it had to do with a portable heating device.
