Mechanicville man charged in thefts from vehicles

A man from Mechanicville has been taken into custody in relation to a series of auto thefts.

Numerous reports regarding stolen goods were made to Mechanicville Police. Zachary Gaulke, 27, was named by authorities as the suspect based on video security footage from homes and businesses.

Two counts of petty larceny and one count of grand larceny were brought against him.On similar charges, Gaulke was arrested in September and sent to pre-trial services.

This is being used by investigators to warn locals to lock their cars.
