A man from Bethlehem is charged with having child pornography.
According to State Police, Zaid Ijaz, 27, had pictures that seemed to be related to child sex trafficking. His house was searched before he was taken into custody. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children provided a cyber tip that sparked the inquiry.
Both having and encouraging a child’s sexual performance were the charges brought against Ijaz. In Bethlehem Town Court, he was arraigned and taken to Albany County Jail in exchange for $10,000 in cash, a $30,000 bond, or a $45,000 partially secured bond.
