Tyrone C. Myette, 38, of Ballston Spa was taken into custody on several controlled substance charges, including assault and resisting arrest, according to the Ballston Spa Police Department.
On December 11, police were called by a resident of Grove Street who reported that a guy was trying to enter the house through a side door.
Authorities claim to have seen Myette going off on an electric scooter when they got there. He made an attempt to escape, but he was swiftly captured by the police.
A battle broke out as police tried to apprehend him, and two Ballston Spa Police Department officers were slightly hurt. According to authorities, both policemen received treatment at Saratoga Hospital before being discharged.
The following charges were brought against Myette:
- Second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Two counts of second-degree assault with the intent to cause physical injury to an officer
- Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a narcotic with the intent to sell
- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Two counts of resisting arrest
- Trespass
According to the police, Myette also had 18.8 grams of cocaine and 206 grams of crystal methamphetamine in her possession.
Myette was sent to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail after being arraigned in Town of Milton Court. His next court appearance is scheduled on December 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Village of Ballston Spa Justice Court.
