Santa Monica Police Share Mugshots of Suspects Accused of Attempted Looting Amid California Wildfires

Thedailymiaminews– The identities of almost a dozen individuals who are suspected of attempting to break into homes within Palisades Fire evacuation zones in Santa Monica have recently been made public by the Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD). According to the police, none of these individuals reside in the town.

Six of the ten suspects were found to be in possession of “burglary tools,” as stated by the authorities. All of them came from outside of the city to gather at the disaster area.

Those individuals who were not charged with attempted burglary were arrested for a variety of offenses, including violations of curfews, possession of drugs, warrants, violations of parole and probation, and other offenses.

Officials have stated that none of the 39 people who were arrested are from Santa Monica.

According to the police, one of the suspects in the burglary, Joshua Kaliel Love, 29, raced away from the authorities and was eventually apprehended because he was in possession of a dagger, a window-breaking tool, a mask, gloves, and contraband. At the time of his arrest, he was on probation for a drug offense.

It has been reported by the police that Pachecomanga and Dorantes had the Watch Duty app, which monitors fire and evacuation zones, open on their respective mobile devices.

According to the agency, Gabriel Isaih Stokes, who is 27 years old, was taken into custody after a license plate scanner identified the vehicle he was driving in Santa Monica as possessing stolen property. According to the authorities, he was discovered with a stolen California identification card, several phony identification cards, tools for burglary, a black beanie and ski mask, and enormous luggage.

According to the officials, Stokes was previously charged with having committed burglary, robbery, and grand theft.

According to the San Mateo Police agency (SMPD), the agency has made 39 arrests in evacuation zones since the beginning of the Palisades Fire.
