For allegedly attacking his wife while armed, leaving her hospitalized, and threatening to kill her and their young children, a man was taken into custody by law enforcement officers in San Bernardino County, according to an announcement made by administration authorities on Friday.
A call about a domestic disturbance was received in Adelanto at approximately 7:49 p.m. on February 13, according to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department. Deputy units went to the scene.
SBSD stated that the caller stated that the man was armed and abusing his wife who was present at the time.
In the event that deputies arrived at the residence situated in the 11100 block of Rosedale Drive, they immediately evacuated the residence and captured the suspect, who was identified as Dale Allen Roos, a resident of Adelanto who is forty years old.
That Roos is a convicted felon, according to SBSD.
Sheriff’s deputies discovered that Roos had assaulted his wife, and they took her to a nearby hospital for treatment. At the time of Friday night, the authorities did not immediately provide any information regarding her condition.
The SBSD issued a statement in which they stated that “Roos also threatened to kill his wife and small children, all of whom were under the age of 15 with an AK-47.”
An assault weapon with the model number AK-47 was discovered during the search of the residence, along with a number of other firearms.
Assault with a deadly weapon, spousal abuse, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of an unlawful assault weapon, and manufacturing of a large capacity magazine were the charges that Roos was charged with when he was taken into custody by deputies and booked at the High Desert Detention Center.
SBSD noted that Roos is currently being held with a bail amount of $150,000.
