On Sunday, a teenage motorcyclist lost his life in a collision in Fayette County.
An accident at Jim Mountain Road in Springfield Township was reported to Fayette County emergency personnel shortly before 4:30 p.m.
After being dispatched to the site, Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker identified the victim as Springfield Township resident Nicholas Herman, 17.
According to Coroner Baker, the only vehicle engaged in the incident was Herman’s motorcycle.
The cause of the collision is still unknown.
