First Lady Jill Biden Condemns Trump as ‘Dangerous to Women and Families’

First Lady Jill Biden attacked former President Trump’s attitude toward women on Friday, as she began Women’s History Month with a campaign rally in Georgia.

The first lady started Women for Biden, a program to engage female voters, with remarks in Atlanta. While praising President Biden’s accomplishments and attempts to protect reproductive health care, Jill Biden also criticized Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee.

“He spent a lifetime pulling us down and diminishing our worth. He mocks women’s bodies, disrespects our accomplishments, and brags about the assault,” Biden said, alluding to Trump’s previous remarks on an “Access Hollywood” tape.

“Now, he’s bragging about killing Roe v. Wade,” the first lady added. “Just last night, he took credit for allowing states like Georgia to adopt draconian abortion bans that deny women the freedom to make their own health care decisions. How far will he travel? When will he stop? You know the answer. “He will not.”

She went on to say, “Donald Trump is dangerous to women and to our families.”

The remarks provided a possible glimpse of how the first lady would be used as a campaign surrogate in the coming months.

In an interview with Fox News anchor Sean Hannity on Thursday, the former president stated that he had heard more about a proposed 15-week abortion ban. While he did not rule out backing such a proposal, Trump stated that he had not decided what to support.

As part of the Women for Biden program, the first lady intends to speak with female voters in key swing states including Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, and Wisconsin.
