Final Arrest Made in Southern District of Georgia’s Largest-Ever Drug Trafficking Indictment

The final suspect in Operation Ghost Busted has been apprehended in Mexico.

According to the FBI, special agents from Atlanta collaborated with special agents from Phoenix and law enforcement partners in Mexico to apprehend David D. Young, 42, of Hortense, Georgia.

According to officials, Young was apprehended on Saturday in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, and brought back to the United States.

WALB previously reported in January 2023 that Operation Ghost Busted was the largest drug trafficking indictment ever issued in the Southern District of Georgia.

Young was not arrested in the United States District Court, Southern District of Georgia, on December 8, 2022, despite being charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribute a controlled narcotic.
