New Hampshire weather alert: Soon going to be hit by severe snowstorm

The next storm will bring several inches of snow, particularly in the south, on Sunday afternoon and Monday.

Cloudy skies overnight, with lows in the 20s to near 30.

A winter storm watch has been issued for southern New Hampshire from Sunday afternoon until Monday afternoon.

The next storm system passing to our south will most certainly deliver additional snow Sunday into early Monday. The most consistent snowfall will likely fall in the state’s south, with 4-8″ expected.

The Monadnock area will most likely see the highest totals. Lighter snow north implies less accumulation, but a few inches are still likely from the Lakes Region to the mountains despite the lower amounts north. Slippery, slower travel is expected into Monday AM.

Drying out with some sun is possible late Monday afternoon, with a breeze. Full sun returns on Tuesday, but temperatures drop by midweek.
