On Friday, a school bus and a minivan were involved in a collision, which resulted in the transportation of four pupils and the driver to a hospital.
At about 2:21 p.m., multiple calls to 911 were received by Marion County Fire Rescue regarding a collision that occurred between a bus and a car in the 12400 block of Northeast Highway 315.

Rescue crews arrived a few minutes later and immediately established a triage system in order to assess each and every student who was riding on the school bus.
Four of the students were sent to a hospital in the area. A trauma alert was also sent to the driver of the minivan, who was transported to a local trauma facility.
According to the officials, the Florida Highway Patrol is still conducting an investigation to determine what caused the collision.
