Even if certain dogs are more vulnerable to theft than others, you should always take the required security measures to ensure that it never occurs.

Always make sure you have the necessary records to show that you are the dog’s owner, that your dog is microchipped, that its collar and ID tags are current, and that you have pet insurance.

Your small rough-and-tumble dog that you rescued is not very appealing to most dog thieves. Oh no, they’re aiming for those more expensive purebreds. those that they can quickly profit from by turning around and selling. Although it’s a repulsive habit, it happens far too often.
