According to Israeli media reports on Sunday, the pair is Liron and Naomi Petrushka, an Israeli couple that has been living in California for several years.

They are survived by four children.

Liron was a former soccer player for Hapoel Ramat Gan Givatayim, and his son Jordan played for Israel’s junior squad.

“The club bows its head for the death of Liron Petrushka and his wife,” stated Einav Hazenvald, the team’s chairman. “Liron has been with the club since he was 10 years old, and he has played on every team, even the adults’ team. He played with me on both the youth squad, which won the national title, and the adult team.”

In addition to being a former soccer player, Liron founded a technology company with Naomi and his brother-in-law in 1999, which was sold a year later for $242 million, according to the Ynet news site.

Liron has recently been active in several innovation efforts around the world, including serving on the boards of startup companies Chek and UpWest Labs.
