Man Arrested after Illegal Firearms and Child Pornography Busted at His Residence in Georgia; Alabama Authorities also Busted Firearms at His Another House

BUCHANAN, Ga (DMN) – In the course of a multi-agency operation aimed at child pornography and illicit firearms, a 52-year-old Buchanan man was taken into custody.

Five counts of possessing child pornography and one count of possessing a handgun by a convicted felon were brought against Stephen Scott Knight. On August 1, he was checked into the Haralson County jail.

Authorities claimed to have gotten scores of tips that pointed them in Knight’s direction. Two weapons and electronic devices were taken from his bedroom during the execution of a search warrant.

He was granted a second search warrant for a Gadsden, Alabama, residence where more guns, according to the investigators, were discovered.

“This case involved multiple jurisdictions and a lot of moving parts. It took a great amount of teamwork, and I could not be prouder of everyone that was involved in this case,” stated Sheriff Stacy Williams.

“Child cases of any type are generally some of the worst that investigators see; a child pornography case of this magnitude takes a lot of work behind the scenes. I appreciate Sgt. Duggins and the job he has done, and I appreciate all of the other agencies that have worked so hard to get this individual in custody and to get a lot of illegal guns off the streets,” he added.

The evidence on electronic devices recovered during those raids included allegations of child sexual abuse, according to investigators.

There are further charges against Knight in Alabama as reported by Fox-5 Atlanta.
