Fort Lauderdale, FL (DMN) – Six individuals are currently in critical condition at the hospital after a serious accident involving multiple vehicles near Fort Lauderdale on Sunday afternoon. The incident has caused significant disruptions to the local traffic.
At around 2:30 p.m., the Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue responded to an incident involving a rollover and multiple injuries. The incident occurred at the intersection of NW 27th Ave and 6th St in Unincorporated Broward County, located just west of Fort Lauderdale.
Upon the arrival of paramedics, immediate medical attention was provided to six individuals, all of whom were in serious or critical condition, as reported by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office to CBS News Miami.

They were all taken to Broward Health Ft. Lauderdale for “interventional treatment” due to the seriousness of their injuries.
The intersection is still closed while investigators work to determine the cause of the crash. Drivers are strongly encouraged to steer clear of the area and find alternative routes, according to BSO.
