3rd-annual Veteran’s Day Ruck March on Sunday

The 3rd-annual Veteran’s Day Ruck March is happening on Sunday.

The march is a fundraiser for the food pantries for the Capital Region, Hidden Battles Foundation and Boot Campaign.

A ruck march is a staple of military training, testing physical and mental toughness, but this event is for everyone to give it a try.

People will walk 6.8 miles along the Helderberg-Hudson rail trail.

A lot of those people carry a ruck sack with up to 35 pounds of non-perishable food to donate to the food pantries.

This event was created by New Scotland Spirits co-owner Jesse Sommer, who is a former U.S Army paratrooper.

It is $25 to register.
