Guilderland unveiling new signs to celebrate designation as ‘Purple Heart Town’

Guilderland is unveiling new signs to celebrate its designation as a ‘Purple Heart Town.’

The town board unanimously approved the designation in July.

The designation means the town honors and remembers service members who were wounded or killed in combat.

There are also now reserved parking spots for Purple Heart recipients and their family members.

You can find the reserved spots at Town Hall, the senior center, and Tawasentha Park.
