Police: Northville man threatened to shoot neighbor

A Fulton County man was arrested after police said he threatened his neighbor with a weapon.

State Police said Bryan R. Metheny, 40, of Northville, got into an argument with his neighbors and their guests on Nov. 6 because one person made excessive noise with their vehicle when leaving.

Metheny allegedly displayed what appeared to be a handgun and threatened to shoot them.

Troopers responded to the home around 9:50 p.m. and arrested Metheny. The gun was an airsoft gun, police said.

Metheny was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and three counts of menacing. He was issued an appearance ticket and due in Northampton Town Court on Nov. 14.
