Albany woman accused of stealing from Ulta Beauty, TJ Maxx

An Albany woman was arrested last week in connection with theft of more than $17,000 in merchandise from Ulta Beauty in North Greenbush.

North Greenbush Police said Yavae Bennett is one of three women who stole from the store in Van Rensselaer Square on Nov. 22, 2022.

Bennett also allegedly stole nearly $2,100 worth of items from TJ Maxx on June 16, 2023.

Bennett was taken into custody on arrest warrants at Albany County Jail after she was released on unrelated charges. She was charged with two counts of grand larceny and two counts of conspiracy. Bennett was arraigned in North Greenbush Town Court and released. She is due back in court at a later date.

A second woman has been arrested in connection with both thefts.
