A little girl from Saratoga County and her family are making the best of a situation that horrified all of us last year.
As you may recall, a 9-year-old girl was riding her bike at Moreau Lake State Park, when she suddenly vanished.
Trisha Sena is that little girl’s mother. She sat down with NewsChannel 13’s Mark Mulholland for the latest recording of The Up Beat podcast from Kelly’s Angels.
Joined by her sister-in-law, Jene, Trisha shared the terrifying circumstances of her daughter’s abduction by a stranger, and her rescue 47 nerve-wracking hours later.
They explained how the little girl, who is now 10, is doing. She is bright, resilient, and empathetic, and has more good days than bad, they said.
They discussed the work they’re doing to change laws – more cameras at state parks, more protections for child survivors, and they’re doing a podcast of their own. They talk about all they’ve gone through.
Trisha said she always keeps her daughter informed about what they’re talking about.
Learn more about how she said the little girl is doing now, by watching the video of Mark Mulholland’s story.
You can listen to their full interview from the “Up Beat” podcast.
