Police: Lake George man stole over $5,000 from four Lowe’s

A 65-year-old Lake George man is accused of stealing over $5,000 worth of merchandise at multiple Lowe’s.

State Police said Leno Gee stole from stores in Colonie, Halfmoon, Queensbury and Wilton. The alleged thefts happened from August until October of this year.

Lowe’s contacted State Police on Nov. 5 and Gee was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 13. He is charged with grand larceny and nine counts of petit larceny. He was arraigned in Wilton Town Court and sent without bail to Saratoga County Jail.

Gee has a criminal record. He was sentenced in 1985 to 16 to 33 years in prison for robbery, according to the state inmate database. He was released in 2013.
