18-year-old arrested for damaging vehicle in Galway

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Austin J. Cretty, 18, of Providence, NY on Thursday following a harassment call made to police last month.

They say Cretty is accused of intentionally causing damage to the property of someone else, in an amount exceeding $250, by kicking that person’s motor vehicle on Sacandaga Road in Galway on October 29.

He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, said police.

Cretty was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Galway Town Court on a later date.
