Albany man faces drug, weapons charges after domestic incident

After a domestic dispute, a 24-year-old man from Albany is being charged with both narcotics and firearms offenses.

On Tuesday, November 26th, shortly after 9:30 a.m., Albany Police officers arrived at a residence on Walter Street close to North First Street. According to reports, Rahzare Williams and a woman got into a brawl. Police said he threatened to hurt her and implied he had a gun.

When officers arrived, they observed Williams leave the house. Police also discovered a loaded firearm during their check of the house. He also allegedly possessed fentanyl.

Williams faces two counts of criminal possession of a controlled narcotic, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing.
