Vigil being held to mark two years since Samantha Humphrey’s murder

On Friday night, Samantha Humphrey’s family and friends will gather to celebrate her life.

Samantha vanished in November 2022 in Schenectady. In February 2023, the 14-year-old was discovered dead in the Mohawk River.

Her death has not resulted in any arrests.

The Front Street Pool in Schenectady will host the vigil starting at 6 p.m. on Friday. There will be a stroll and two minutes of silence for Samantha’s two years of absence at 6:30 p.m.

According to the family, they are hoping for Samantha’s killer to be apprehended and found guilty. The community is invited to join in their grief over an untimely death.
