A man from Rotterdam has acknowledged unlawfully possessing a firearm.
On Monday, 46-year-old Jesse Taber entered a guilty plea in federal court.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Taber possessed a 12-gauge shotgun in December 2023. Because of a prior felony record, he was prohibited from possessing weapons.
On April 2, Taber is expected to be sentenced. He might be subject to three years of post-release monitoring, a fine of up to $250,000, and up to 15 years in jail.
In 2018, he received a 4-year prison sentence for illegally possessing a prohibited drug. The state inmate record shows that he was released in August 2021.
