Man found guilty of manslaughter in 2016 Schenectady shooting

In the 2016 shooting death of a Schenectady man, a man was found guilty.

On Thursday, Camare Williams was convicted in Schenectady County Court of first-degree homicide and unlawful possession of a weapon. Williams was accused with Andre Lee’s shooting killing on Germain Avenue in March 2016.

Williams was found not guilty of second-degree homicide.

For many years, the case remained unresolved. On August 10, 2023, Williams was stopped in Middletown after a warrant for his arrest was issued.
