Southside Accident Leaves 25-Year-Old Young Woman Dead Tuesday Morning

Thedailymiaminews– A single-vehicle car accident that occurred early on Tuesday morning on the south side of Tucson resulted in the death of the passenger in the vehicle.

At around two in the morning, Montana Rose Lujan, who was 25 years old at the time, was riding in a car that was traveling north on South 12th Avenue. The driver of the vehicle, a woman who was 23 years old, allegedly lost control of the vehicle, as stated in a press release issued by the Tucson Police Department.

On the east side of the road, the car, which the Toronto Police Department stated was traveling at high speeds, collided with a utility pole. At the moment of the collision, both of the passengers were fastened in their seatbelts. At the scene, Lujan was certified as having passed away. With injuries that were considered to be life-threatening, the driver was sent to Banner University Medical Center for treatment.

Alcohol and drug tests were performed on the motorist. The results of the tests are still awaited.
