Investigation Underway After Fatal Plane Crash in Orange County and One Person Dies

A tiny plane crashed Saturday morning in the Zellwood neighborhood, and the Orange County Fire Rescue Department is on the scene.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., firefighters were called to a tiny single-engine plane crash near the Bob White Airfield on Jones Avenue. A man in his 70s was discovered and declared deceased at the scene, but crews put out a small fire.

After being alerted, the FAA and NTSB are investigating the circumstances surrounding the aircraft crash.
