Bahamas officials say what killed the American guy whose body was found on the beach

The autopsy results for an American man who went missing for a short time while on holiday with his parents on Paradise Island were released by the Bahamas. The man was found dead on a beach the next morning.

23-year-old Dinari McAlmont from Maryland was found dead on Paradise Island in Nassau on April 6. He had only been there with his parents for 12 hours.

“A post-mortem examination was performed, and the pathologist’s findings revealed that the deceased died by drowning,” the Royal Bahamas Police Force said at a news conference on Wednesday. They also said that they were still waiting for the results of a toxicology exam.

This was after Michelle McAlmont, McAlmont’s mother, told Eyewitness News Bahamas that she thought her son had been beaten. “Foul play is not suspected at this time,” the police said.

While they were in the Bahamas, the McAlmont family stayed at The Reef at Atlantis, a resort.

It seems that Dinari left his parents during dinner to get a jacket and never came back. His parents reported him missing when they couldn’t find him using his cellphone’s position data.

“We are very sad to hear about the death of one of our guests,” the resort said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “During this hard time, our thoughts are with his family.” The police are doing their probe, and we are fully cooperating with them.
