Minnesota Nurse Faces Federal Charges After Allegedly Grabbing Flight Attendant’s Crotch

On a trip from Las Vegas to North Dakota, a 64-year-old licensed practical nurse is accused of grabbing a flight attendant’s private parts. She is now facing federal charges.

Federal court records that The Independent looked at show that Jody Lynn Sherry-Berg was arrested on Tuesday on one count of interfering with flight crew members.

According to a federal indictment made public on April 8, 2018, the fight happened on January 16 on an Allegiant Air trip from Harry Reid International Airport to Grand Forks International Airport.

The indictment says that Sherry-Berg, who lives in Bemidji, Minnesota, “knowingly interfered with the performance of the duties” of a male flight attendant named “J.M.” when she “assaulted J.M. by grabbing J.M.’s genitalia.”

Attorney Jean Brandl, who was Sherry-Berg’s public attorney at her first court date, told The Independent that she was “not free to talk to you about the case.”

Brandl refused to say more about what happened before the fight, which is not in the charge.

A spokesperson for Allegiant Air did not reply right away to a request for comment.

In Fargo, North Dakota, another passenger took a video on their cell phone of Sherry-Berg grabbing the flight attendant’s crotch twice. At the time of the event, NBC affiliate KVLY reported on it.
