A mass stabbing in a Los Angeles neighbourhood has left five people injured, three of whom are critical

Five people were hospitalised following a mass stabbing in a Los Angeles neighbourhood on Saturday, according to officials.

According to the LAPD, dispatch received a call at 4:15 p.m. about a stabbing that had just occurred in Reseda.

Police and firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived to the 600 block of Darby Avenue and discovered five victims with stab wounds.

According to officials, three patients were in critical condition, with the remaining two in fair condition. All five victims were taken to the hospital.

Details are scant, and police did not offer any additional information on the stabbing or if a suspect was in custody as of 9 p.m. Saturday.
