Three individuals were hospitalized when an SUV and an electric vehicle collided on a busy road in Pittsburgh’s South Side Flats Saturday night.
Pittsburgh Police said officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of East Carson Street at 8:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a two-vehicle incident involving a rollover and entrapment.
When officials got on the scene, they reported that the incident involved an SUV and an electric vehicle. The impact of the incident was claimed to have caused the SUV to overturn and collide with a light pole.
Action News 4 arrived on the site, and it seemed like a Tesla Cybertruck and an SUV were severely damaged.
Police claimed that when they arrived, two people were locked inside the SUV.
A third occupant was believed to have left the vehicle before authorities arrived.
The two trapped people were rescued and sent to a local hospital for treatment. The third individual was also transported to the hospital.
Police say one person was taken in critical condition.
The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and reported no injuries.
Pittsburgh Police are currently investigating.
