Topeka Driver Not Wearing Seatbelt Injured in US-75 Collision, KHP Reports

A man was hurt in a two-vehicle incident on a Shawnee County roadway on Tuesday evening.

According to crash logs from the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), a two-vehicle accident happened on US-75 northbound at NW 86th Street around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday.

According to KHP, a Saturn Vue driving east on NW 86th Street failed to yield the right of way and collided with a Jeep Gladiator travelling north on US-75. The Vue collided with the Gladiator on the driver’s side.

The driver of the Vue was recognised as a 43-year-old Topeka male. He was brought to the hospital for a suspected minor injury.

According to KHP, the Gladiator’s driver, a 59-year-old Mayetta man, did not look wounded.

KHP noticed that the driver of the Vue did not wear a seatbelt, although the driver of the Gladiator did.
